Greetings,

For the past several years Wendy Mendenhal has worked tirelessly to bring to fruition a style of learning that is integrated with spiritual awareness.  Wendy is reaching her goals with the TAO Metaversity.

The 1st  TAO Metaversity  location is being built in an area called Kayenta in Ivins, Utah.  Ivins is approximately 8 miles from St. George.  Gurus is  providing information for planning meetings, teaching opportunities, presentation, weekend workshops, fundraising, and/or donation of  labor, time or materials.  It is my privilege to offer you an opportunity to participate.  Working with Wendy over the past few years has been a wonderful experience and has Gurus 100% on board!

Many of you have expressed an interest in the TAO Metaversity.  We are interested in co-creating with  like-minded companies and individuals.  Each of you have been more than eager to participate in the launching and teaching opportunities that will be available through TAO Metaversity.  The time has come for you to actively participate.  The planning meeting is set for November 19, 2009 and You are Invited! 

 Wendy and I will be a hosting an informal meeting of the utmost importance.  This is your chance to ask questions, make comments, offer suggestions and add input.  It will also be an opportunity to determine your personal fit into the TAO Metaversity curriculim.

Here is the first draft of the Metaversity’s academies (Departments at the university). This will begin to give you an idea of the kinds of curriculum that will be offered there. For instance, the first academy will contain all the info on autism, indigo, etc. There may be overlap as well for those particular classes in the Academy of Arts, Academy of Co-creation. These are overviews so curriculum can be organized accordingly,  Let me know your thoughts and feedback. I have a number of pictures of Kayenta I will send you. •Academy of the Universal Family offers one of the most love based, advanced academy in the country. The in-depth, experiential studies of family relationships begins with the pre-conceptual stage of child-birth through the birth and raising of the child through and beyond the life-cycle modern man has come to believe in. Academy of Co Creativity is at the core of all TAO Metaversity academy curriculums. Through scientific and intrinsic recognition, each student experiences their natural capacity for connection to the world they live in. It is the hub of the entire liberal education curriculum taken by every TAO Metaversity student. It offers a full range of curriculum in the humanities, sciences and social sciences all of which integrate universal learning experiences. Whole systems are recognized as each student’s belief in separate divisions, disciplines and levels  is unlearned. With this unlearning, comes a recognition of pure thought and students remember they are Co-creators with all of eternity.

Academy of Arts: One of the most technically advanced curriculums in the psychology of an artist. What drives an adolescent and/or adult to their calling of their art? Graduates will co-create artwork that inspires and remind us of our own higher possibilities, our own deepest nature, and invites us to rediscover something we believed we were not yet, but remember, that we always were. This curriculum helps to clarify the questions, “What it is for?, What attracts the artist’s mind to it?, What value does it bring to the artist?”, and “What purpose does it serve?”. With clear recognition of ones’ calling, love opens naturally, allowing Beauty, Truth and Goodness to show themselves in the lives of each student. The graduates in turn give their art to their families and communities to transform the landscapes of what has been created in disconnection from Source.

Academy of Innerdimensional Studies: Offers a revolutionary acknowledgement and recognition of the most powerful energy source available -  thought – and that  each  of us is responsible for our own  and its consequences. This energy of life no longer ignores the plea of ignorance as a means of defense. It acknowledges each of us is in partnership with the force that created us from its thought. The curriculum is created to cultivate each student’s ability to think; moving them towards the vital recognition that the speed of their thinking match that of the Divine. This video demonstrates the extreme value of being on the Internet. Most folks now have texting down, a lot of you use twitter, some have websites and some even a blog.   A large number of you do not use or realize just what a valuable tool you have as a blog owner or the value of owning a blog.

• No middle man, you update, post and change your blog in an instant.   It’s simple, no heavy lifting required and  just a little bit of coaching.   I do that!
• Your latest and greatest addition to your services or line of products can be posted immediately.   This saves time and money.

To sum it all up, I love blogs.   Put yourself  in the driver’s seat of your business marketing needs.   No calls to make, no checks to write and no waiting.

In all fairness, let’s talk about websites.   I have one and I like it.   I use it mainly for what it is:  a “static place on the net.”  I have  longivity (5 years) on the Internet that has built credibility.   My domain name is mine,  and these things are always good for Search Engine Rankings.  

My time is valuable, as is yours.   Time spent adding an article or updating a product to a website is expensive and time consuming.   I need to use a middle person (Webmaster) to do that for me.   Chances are I am going to want to add a new style, picture or a video.   Once it’s there,  it’s going to stay for a long time.

My website key words,  meta tags and content don’t interest the search engines anywhere near as much as my very flexible blog.   Basically the engine says, been there done that and so do  my clients.

Blogs can now be created with a static front page that looks and acts very much like a website.   Most of you have been on a blog and don’t even know your on one.

Welcome to 2009.   We’re moving fast and all of us are doing our very best to provide excellent information on our sites.   A blogs gives you the keys to your marketing vehicle!

Ken has created exciting adventures in his life. He has been a hair dresser for many celebrities (worked on Touched by an Angel for many years), studied Reiki, Theta Healing and Resonance Re-Patterning, just to name a few. Harvey Mackay, tells a wonderful story about a cab driver that proved this point. Here’s the story. He was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a cab pulled up, the first thing Harvey noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for Harvey .. He handed my friend a laminated card and said: ‘I’m Wally, your driver.

While I’m loading your bags in the trunk I’d like you to read my mission statement.’ Taken aback, Harvey read the card. It said: Wally’s Mission Statement: To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment… This blew Harvey away. Especially when he noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean! As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, ‘Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.’ My friend said jokingly, ‘No, I’d prefer a soft drink.’ Wally smiled and said, ‘No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, water and orange juice.’ Almost stuttering, Harvey said, ‘I’ll take a Diet Coke.’ Handing him his drink, Wally said, ‘If you’d like something to read, I have The Wall Street Journal, Time, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.’

As they were pulling away, Wally handed my friend another laminated card, ‘These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you’d like to listen to the radio.’ And as if that weren’t enough, Wally told Harvey that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him. Then he advised Harvey of the best route to his destination for that time of day. He also let him know that he’d be happy to chat and tell him about some of the sights or, if Harvey preferred, to leave him with his own thoughts… ‘Tell me, Wally,’ my amazed friend asked the driver, ‘have you always served customers like this?’ Wally smiled into the rear view mirror. ‘No, not always. In fact, it’s only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do.

 Then I heard the personal growth guru, Wayne Dyer, on the radio one day. He had just written a book called You’ll See It When You Believe It . Dyer said that if you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you’ll rarely disappoint yourself. He said, ‘Stop complaining!Differentiate yourself from your competition. Don’t be a duck. Be an eagle Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.” That hit me right between the eyes,’ said Wally. ‘Dyer was really talking about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.’ ‘I take it that has paid off for you,’ Harvey said. ‘It sure has,’ Wally replied. ‘My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I’ll probably quadruple it. You were lucky to get me today.

I don’t sit at cabstands anymore. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on my answering machine. If I can’t pick them up myself, I get a reliable cabbie friend to do it and I take a piece of the action.’ Wally was phenomenal. He was running a limo service out of a Yellow Cab. I’ve probably told that story to more than fifty cab drivers over the years, and only two took the idea and ran with it. Whenever I go to their cities, I give them a call. The rest of the drivers quacked like ducks and told me all the reasons they couldn’t do any of what I was suggesting. Wally the Cab Driver made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like ducks and start soaring like eagles. How about us? Smile, and the whole world smiles with you…

The ball is in our hands! A man reaps what he sows. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up… let us do good to all people. Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans…

The joy of Facebook and Classmates.  Welcome to the Internet super highway helping us to stay up to date and connected.

My inspired self has landed.  I have had a chance to catch up with many friends from my past;  high school classmates and even a few from grade school!  When you move, as I have, “to a new state” my friends and clients from Utah understood it just might take me some time to get settled.  Viola, I have had creative time.

I have brewed up a few new projects including baking non grain breads and building an Autism information blog… Heavenly!  I’ve built new personal skills with MapQuest and I can now find all of my shoes… I am officially unpacked!

Where is the marketing direction that a Guru, such as myself, is heading?  Here you go:  Coming into all situations without an agenda and listening to the wisdom of others can provide a much needed wake up call or shot in the arm for your business ideas.

This morning I had breakfast with my high school classmate, Jeff Sparks.  He is truly a genius in life and about life.  We chatted back and forth on Facebook  before sitting down and sharing stories of  how each of our lives have unfolded since graduating high school.  

Jeff sent me his 2 minute closing statement which helps people remember him as the person who unlocked whatever it was that they had locked themselves out of!  Jeff owns a locksmith company. I was so impressed with Jeff’s statement that I want to share it with you.  You might consider using this tool for your company.  Here is his simple yet very effective statement:

Our game plan was not to discuss marketing but to simply catch up.  Here is what Jeff sent me when I asked for his cell number:

I will now give you the main thrust of my marketing campaign. It has seen me through dry times as far as generating new work goes.

After I service some one, whether it has been opening their house, their car or a home re-key, as I give them the receipt I say, “Take this number and put me in your cell phone under “Locksmith,” that way it’s always handy, you never have to look me up and you don’t even have to remember my name. $60.00 will open whatever you are locked out of, house, car or business, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I don’t raise my rates at night or on the weeken,  it’s always the same price. If you run out of gas, I’ll bring it… get a flat tire, don’t want to get dirty or don’t have all of the tools, I’ll change it or jump your battery if you need that.  I’m not a mechanic and I don’t have a tow truck but if I can’t get you started, I won’t leave you stranded… I’ll take you where ever you need to go.
It’s a good number to share with friends and family, that way they will never be without someone that they can call in case of an emergency.  Also, if your cell phone gets locked inside the car next to the keys… well, you still don’t have my number, but if you know someone that has it, you can always get hold of me.  Thank you very much and God bless.”

Tips of the day

Have good listening skills for ideas that insipire you.

1. Stay out of agendas, in other words, have an open mind.
2. See in others skills and talents you may or may not have.  Use the information for improving your life.
3. Stay connected because there are smart people everywhere.  Having fun is the name of the game.  I had fun and got smarter myself…. I now have a locksmith I will call when I get myself in a jam!  Wow, a new Marketing Guru support member that provides me with insight and wisdom.

Hello~

I am in Arizona on an new project… The wisdom of this decision, I must admit, has wavered  based on the 115 temperatures…YIKES!  Gurus is here and involved in an important calling ”Autism Education.”  This sings to my heart. 

Autism is a growing challenge for many families and rising at an alarming rate.   As always, Gurus Marketing is in full swing.  My skill and talent on the net will bring new information and awareness to the ”Autism Epidemic.”   I’ll keep you updated. My current on-going projects are still thriving, thank heavens I can work anywhere!

Now, for today’s Guru topic, The Video~Thank You Note.  Last week, I met with a local car company experiancing  a slow down in their car lot foot traffic.  We discussed the possibility of using video as a tool allowing customers to get a good look at their cars in an entertaining, fun and detailed way. 

The importance for many customers is to learn and decide which company to contact, from the comfort of their own home.  This is significant.  The mind set of people on the Net today is  ”Keep me entertained as you show me your wares.”

I designed a Thank you Note after getting home from the consultation with my (YES!) new client.   I took some time, put the note together and simply hit send. They were impressed, and now want a Thank You for all of their clients.   Who can blame them?  I had a great time developing the note. Below is the Thank You Note that closed the deal…

What a brilliant way to stay in a relationship with your customers!  If you want your customers to spread the word about your product or service, be amazing and use this tool.  We all know the #1 way to attract new clientele is to treat your current clients extremely well. Word of mouth is still your most powerful tool in generating new sales.
